Talia Meer

Talia’s practice ranges over all aspects of family law and is able to offer assistance within both children work and finance work. Talia regularly undertakes cases at all stages of the process, whether that be initial advice or final hearings.

Talia joined chambers as a tenant after a successful pupillage with Dornier Whittaker and Kerry Barker. Since joining as a tenant, Talia has built a very busy practice.

Talia regularly undertakes FDR’s with a keen eye on settling if it is in the client’s best interests. Talia appreciates the stressful nature of an FDR and always seeks to ensure the client understands the process and feels supported throughout the day.

Talia is able to take instructions on Private DRAs. Private children is a key cornerstone of Talia’s practice and she regularly undertakes DRA’s.

H v W (Arbitration Advocate 2026) - Represented the husband in an arbitration where the sole issue was who should care for the dogs. 

W v H (FDR Advocate 2026): Represented W in a case whereby the husband was incarcerated and W was awarded the majority of the equity and a costs order due to the husband’s conduct.

H v W (FDR Advocate 2026): Represented H in a case whereby assets of the husband’s were ringfenced resulting in a fair outcome for the client.
